Dr. Quoc L. Nguyen received his Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Physiology and Neuroscience from the
University of California in San Diego. He then received
his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from New York University.
He served his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of
Illinois at Chicago Medical Center and Jesse Brown Veterans Affairs Hospital in Chicago. In addition to working
in private practice with Dr. Kalant, Dr. Nguyen holds medical staff privileges at Edward Hospital in Naperville, as
well as a position as adjunct clinical professor in the Section of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of
Illinois at Chicago and Loyola University, where he is actively involved in resident education.
Dr. Nguyen is boarded through the Illinois State Board given by the Northeast Regional Dental Board of Examiners. He has received Board “Eligible” status for the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is a present member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is also current members of the Illinois Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Chicago Dental Society, as well as a member of the American Dental Association. He is also certified by the American College of Surgeons in Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), by the American Heart Association in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and in Basic Life Support (BLS).
His area of significant interest and expertise are dental implantology, dentoalveolar surgery, orthognathic surgery (correction of jaw deformities), surgical management of oral and maxillofacial pathology, and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders.
